Get Away to Snowmobiling

Oneida County Snowmobile Season Law

Local Law No. 3 of 2019.... which defines the season as opening after the end of big game hunting season and when snowmobile clubs officially open their trail systems.

Do you dread the thought of cabin fever in the winter? You've come to the right place for winter enjoyment! Oneida County has lots of ways to get you into the snow, including snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing on over 540 miles of groomed trails. We also have the largest number of snowmobile club members in the State. Explore scenic rides through forests and parks covered with our wonderful Central New York snowfall.

There are plenty of trails to keep you occupied for the whole season, from the Old Erie Canal Trail to the State Parks at Verona Beach and Delta Lake. As a part of the Tug Hill Region, you can ride through the Tug Hill Plateau all the way into the famous Adirondack Park trail system. When you need to stretch your legs, choose from more than 300 local attractions including restaurants, museums, casinos, and breweries. This winter, make sure you experience a new perspective on snow and tour Oneida County on a snowmobile!
