St. Patrick’s Day Events

Thursday, March 10
Teada – Traditional Irish Music from Co Sligo at the Irish Cultural Center of the Mohawk Valley (7 PM) – A traditional band with a truly worldwide reach, Téada has appeared as a frequent headliner at major music festivals throughout the world. One of Irish traditional music’s leading exponents, Téada is driven by a fascination for the timeless, expressive force of music inherited from previous generations of musicians. Irish Music Magazine describes the band as “at the cutting edge of the next generation of Irish musicians…with a fierce familiarity with the old ways.”

Friday, March 11
All Ages Kids Club at the Waterville Public Library (4-5 PM) – Friday’s theme is Leprechaun traps! They’re gathering up all sorts of supplies for you to get creative with. Bring yours home or set it up at the library.

St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Celebration at Villa Verona (Fri-Sun) – Join for their St. Patrick’s Day celebration featuring green slushies in the tasting room. There will be special guests as well! Live music Friday with Tim Creaser, Saturday TBA & Sunday with Phil Arcuri.

Saturday, March 12
2022 St. Patrick’s Day Utica Parade (10 AM) – At long last, the Utica St. Patrick’s Day Parade is back! This will be a great day of celebration and festivities. The parade will begin with a Cannon Kick Off in Oneida Square at 10 AM. The parade course marches from Oneida Square northward on Genesee St. and ends at the Columbia Street intersection.

Mad Mile 2022 (9:45 AM) – Kick off St. Patrick’s Day in downtown Utica with the Mad Mile! Run down Genesee Street ahead of the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  Make sure to wear your best Irish outfit and enjoy the run with a built-in cheering crowd and a one-mile course with an elevation drop! Registration ends 3/10.

St. Patrick’s Day Party at the Polish Community Club (11 AM) – After you’ve finished watching the parade, head to the PCC for their party! There will be live entertainment b Nervous rex, food of both Irish and Polish decent, and most importantly lots of great drinks!! Admission is free, PCC will serve food until 6 PM and the bar is open until close.

Ancora’s Annual Parade Day Party (9 AM) – Join for the annual Parade Day party. Full bar and drink specials available. There will be food options as well such as breakfast sandwiches, meatballs and arancini!

St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at 7 Hamlets Brewing (Fri and Sat) – Green beer and music all weekend! Saturday enjoy music from Tim Wit and Second Breakfast. On Sunday, check out Joe Battles!

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Day After Party at 16 Stone Brewpub – Holland Patent (3 PM) – Come celebrate with 16 Stone Brewpub. After the parade, pop in for a nice pint of Heltic Carp Irish Red, enjoy a Reuben, or any other food and drink specials!

St. Patty’s Parade Afterparty with Above the Dam at Woodland Farm Brewery (1 PM) – After you enjoy the parade, head up to the taproom for music from Above the Dam, cold drinks and food.

St. Patty’s Specials at Old School Bar and Grill – Come celebrate Saturday after the parade with tasty Irish specials (and Thursday, 3/17!). Corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, reuben sandwiches, ham & cabbage, homemade pierogies, Irish drinks and shot specials!

Bagg’s Square Brewing Company Celebration – Come celebrate all day with food and drink specials!

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration with the Utica Center for Development Inc. (8 AM) – The UCD is excited to host their celebration this year! In their bunker café, they’ll have food and drink available from 8 AM until 2 PM. All proceeds from the event will go towards the Bryan L Jasek Memorial Fund. This organization is the CNY Veterans Outreach Center.

St. Patrick’s Day at The Harp ft. Last Left (10 AM) – Join on March 12th for the biggest celebration in town. Music with Last Left and a big heated tent outside.

St. Patrick’s Parade Day Party at Dick Smith’s Tavern (10 AM) – Head to Dick Smith’s Tavern, opening at 10 AM and check out Taken Cover live from 5-9 PM.

St. Patrick’s Day Party at One Genny (10 AM) – Stop by One Genny for free giveaways, DJ Cory Cobane, Jameson shot servers, Jack Daniels shot servers!

Sickenburger Lane Celebration (10 AM) – After the parade, head to Varick Street for Sickenburger’s after party. DJ Oh Kane will take the stage. Make sure to grab a picture with Jameson the Leprechaun outside!

Get your Parade Day Irish on with K.O. Grainger at The Five Points Public House and Event Center (12 PM) – Party on parade day! Enjoy classic rock, modern country, 80’s, 90’s, alternative, Motown, dance, pop, rock and more!

St. Patrick’s Day Post Parade Party at 12 North Sports Bar (4 PM) – Join for DJ Joe Load, get your Irish on and raise the roof off 12 North! DJ Joe Load from 4-7 PM and Whiskey Creek from 7-whenever.

Sunday, March 13
Shepherd’s Pie Sunday @ 16 Stone Brewpub – Holland Patent (1:30 PM) – 16 Stone is bringing you Shepherd’s Pie Sunday! Still served in a freshly baked bread bowl made from their spent grain from brewing. Pair with a pint of Heltic Carp Irish Red!

Jamie Laval St. Patrick’s Concert at Unity Hall (3 PM) – Unity Hall celebrates St. Patrick’s Day by welcoming back Celtic fiddler and performer Jamie Laval in a specially filmed performance. The concert will take place in a “larger than life” format on the big screen.

Thursday, March 17
Traditional St. Patrick’s Day ft. Blarney Rebel Band at the Celtic Harp (6 PM) – Join on March 17 for the Blarney Rebel Band who will be playing all your favorite traditional Irish music. The event is first come, first serve. No reservations this year!

Friday, March 18 & Saturday, March 19
Adirondack Railroad Irish Themed Dinner Trains – Two dates for this Irish-themed dinner train featuring extraordinary Irish cuisine. Enjoy a hand-crafted Irish inspired menu from local chef Patrick O’Connor. Get your tickets before it sells out!

Saturday, March 19
Irish Evening at Kirkland Art Center (5 PM) – Irish Evening at the Kirkland Art Center in Clinton will take place on March 19th. The event will include traditional music, Irish ballads, jigs and reels and a serving of Irish refreshments.

More of the weeklong St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at 16 Stone Brewpub – Holland Patent – 16 Stone has quite the lineup of celebrations. On Friday, 3/18, The Lower Tolpa band will be performing at 7 PM. On Saturday, 3/19,  they’ll host their fourth 16 Stone Brewpub Unplugged: Presents Rattlin’ Bog LIVE at 5 PM. This is a special, free event so come early for a table and to enjoy food and drink specials. Rattlin’ Bog is best known for their rousing Irish repertoire! Sunday, March 20
Gaelic Tasting Menu at Motus (5:30 PM) – Make your reservation for this Tasting Dinner! This will be a tasting with a beer and whiskey pairing. Cost is $85 per person and includes the pairing.
