A Fresh Taste of a Rome Classic: Dining at Beeches Manor
For generations, The Beeches has been a familiar name in Rome. Today, there’s a fresh reason to experience this historic property: the food.
Beeches Manor has once again become a place to gather around the table, whether that means meeting a friend for lunch, making dinner plans, enjoying a leisurely Sunday meal or pairing dinner and drinks with a night of live music.
And while the setting may be historic, the experience today feels anything but stuck in the past.
Come Hungry
At Beeches Manor, dining can be as casual or as occasion-worthy as you want it to be.
The chef-driven menu combines familiar favorites with elevated entrées and creative weekly specials, using fresh, local ingredients along the way. You can keep things casual with a burger or sandwich, settle in for pasta or seafood, or make a night of it with an entrée like filet mignon.
It’s the kind of menu that works when you’re grabbing lunch with a coworker just as easily as when you’re looking for somewhere to go for dinner with friends or family.
Sunday offers another excuse to gather around the table, while weekly food specials keep things changing throughout the week. Before you visit, check out what the kitchen has planned. You might find a new special alongside an old favorite.
Dinner Plans, Meet Live Music
Good food may get you through the door, but some nights, you’ll want to stay awhile.
Beeches Manor regularly pairs dining with live music and entertainment, making it an easy choice when you want more than just dinner. Meet friends for a meal, order another round and enjoy the music without having to head somewhere else for the rest of the evening.
The Pub offers another atmosphere within Beeches Manor for a more casual bite or drinks, while the restaurant and other dining spaces give you plenty of ways to experience the property.
Whether it’s lunch, dinner, drinks or a night of live music, Beeches Manor is once again a place where people can simply come together and enjoy themselves.
A Rome Tradition, Reimagined
Of course, part of what makes a meal at Beeches Manor different is where you’re having it.
The original estate dates back to the early 1900s, when it was built as the private home of Frank Potter and his family. In 1949, the Destito family purchased the property and turned it into a restaurant, beginning decades of hospitality at The Beeches.
Nascentia Health purchased the property in 2021 with a vision to preserve the landmark while giving it a new future. Following an extensive renovation, Beeches Manor reopened in 2023, bringing dining, events and gatherings back to the historic property.
Today, Beeches Manor is part of the larger Nascentia Neighborhood, an ongoing project reimagining the historic campus while keeping this longtime Rome landmark connected to the community.
For longtime residents, there’s plenty of nostalgia in walking through the doors. For first-time visitors, there’s an opportunity to discover a new favorite dining spot inside a piece of local history.
There’s Room for the Whole Group, Too
Sometimes lunch or dinner turns into something bigger.
Beyond its restaurant and Pub, Beeches Manor offers spaces for business meetings, conferences, holiday parties, showers, weddings, fundraisers and celebrations of all kinds.
That means the same place you might visit for dinner and live music one weekend could be where your organization hosts its next meeting or your family gathers for a milestone celebration.
With smaller historic rooms, larger banquet spaces and outdoor options, the property can accommodate everything from an intimate gathering to a large-scale event, with food and beverage right on site.
Find Your Reason to Visit
Maybe you haven’t been to The Beeches in years. Maybe you’ve only ever been there for a wedding or event. Or maybe you’ve never experienced it at all.
Consider this your excuse to change that.
Make lunch plans. Go out for dinner. See what’s on special. Catch some live music. Meet friends for drinks. And while you’re there, take in a little bit of the history that has made The Beeches part of Rome for more than a century.
There’s a lot happening at Beeches Manor, but a good meal is a pretty great place to start.
