Calling all garden lovers and outdoor enthusiasts! GreenUtica is inviting the community to take a stroll through some of Utica, NY’s most beautiful home gardens during the GreenUtica Garden Tour on Saturday, August 16. This free event, presented by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with gardens open across Downtown, North, West, and South Utica.
How to Join:
Pick up your tour map and register at GreenUtica’s office at 1641 Genesee Street starting at 9:30 a.m. on the day of the event. For an easier start, you can pre-register online here. Lawn signs will mark all participating gardens, making it easy to explore at your own pace.
Special VIP Tour at Munson
For a behind-the-scenes look, Danny Beaver, Munson’s groundskeeper, will lead a VIP tour of the museum grounds at 9 a.m. before the neighborhood tour kicks off. He’ll share insights on Munson’s new landscaping installation, highlight notable trees, gardens, and plantings, and give a closer look at the grounds’ beauty. Pre-registration is required for this exclusive experience, and tour maps will be available at Munson.
