Join the Utica/Oneida County Branch NAACP to celebrate Black History Month 2024 with its annual program hosted by the History Center.

Join the Utica/Oneida County Branch NAACP to celebrate Black History Month 2024 with its annual program hosted by the History Center. This event will follow the national theme of African Americans and the arts and features guest speakers, poetry recitals, dance presentations, music, light refreshments, and more. Members of the NAACP will also share information about their organization and community announcements.

This celebration takes place on Saturday, February 3, 2024, starting at 1:00 pm. It is free and open to all. The program will also be available virtually via Zoom; those wishing to attend virtually can register at https://shorturl.at/juwNP. The Utica/Oneida County Branch NAACP is a civil rights advocacy organization and its purpose is to improve the political, educational, social, and economic status of minority groups; to eliminate racial prejudice; to keep the public aware of the adverse effects of racial discrimination; and to take lawful action to secure its elimination, consistent with the efforts of the national organization and in conformity with the articles of Incorporation of the Association, its Constitution and By-Laws, and as directed by the National Board of Directors.
