Skiing, Snowboarding, and Ice Skating Returns to South Utica
The Val Bialas Ski Facility, located inside Roscoe Conkling Park along Utica’s historic Memorial Parkway, is reopening to the public—just in time for Winter Break Vacation!
The facility is named in honor of Olympic Speedskater, Valentine “Val” Bialas, who competed in the 1924, 1928, and 1932 Olympics.
See the post from the City of Utica Facebook page announcing the news.

Val Bialas Ski Facility in Utica, NY is one of only two active ski slopes located within city limits in the entire United States.
