Union Station

Built in 1914, Utica’s Union Station is a stunning Beaux-Arts masterpiece designed by the same architects behind Grand Central Terminal. Today, it operates as a vibrant multimodal hub, seamlessly connecting travelers to New York City and the Adirondacks via Amtrak and the scenic Adirondack Railroad. Beyond transit, the "cathedral" hall serves as a community landmark, housing local government offices, a historic barbershop, and a grand concourse for public events. With its iconic marble columns and steam-heated wooden benches, the station remains a living piece of history that bridges Utica’s industrial past with its modern regional growth. It's even been used for major television film productions, including Severance, on Apple TV.
