The nights in November are long, but the venues of Oneida County aren't short on entertainment as we pave the way toward the holiday season. With venues both large and small, Oneida County has it all! Whether you want to sample riggies and listen to rock at The Stanley, catch a film or exhibit at MWPAI, get a jump on your holiday shopping at Rome Art and Community Center, Oneida County has entertainment for one and all!

Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute presents this film which portrays a modern-day Grapes of Wrath. The film is an intimate portrait of job-seekers desperately chasing the broken American Dream to the tiny oil boom town of Williston, North Dakota. Tens of thousands of unemployed hopefuls show up with dreams of honest work and a big paycheck but step into the stark reality of slim prospects and nowhere to sleep.

Broadway Theatre League presents ELF the Musical on tour at The Stanley. Elf is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole.  Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. This modern day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner ELF.

It is that time of year again for Rome Art And Community Center's Holiday House Shopping Extravaganza, the nonprofit organization's largest annual fundraiser, showcasing high quality wares from 50 local and regional vendors. Holiday House is held in the Tudor Mansion on 308 West Bloomfield Street in Rome and is beautifully decorated for the holiday season.
