Train Ride smallThe Fall Foliage trip is dedicated solely to enjoying upstate New York in all its autumn glory. The train traverses bucolic scenery complete with streams and forests for approximately two hours. A brief stop is made in Thendara before heading back to Utica Station. If you’d like more time to explore, opt for the Utica to Thendara with Layover. This includes a full afternoon in Old Forge, a tiny—but very popular—hamlet chock full of restaurants, cafes, and local boutiques. A shuttle bus transports passengers between Thendara and Old Forge. Can’t get enough of Old Forge? Stay overnight and catch the train back to Utica the next day.
