2019 Oneida County Travel Guide Now Available

Visitors and tourists that consider a Getaway to Oneida County have an updated Travel Guide to help them plan their visit. The Official 2019 Oneida County Travel Guide, published by the Utica Observer-Dispatch, is a comprehensive full color 56-page guide that highlights the places, people, and events that make the area a premier destination.

2019 Pegasus CoverThe 2019 cover photo features a stunning image of the Pegasus sculpture at Griffiss International Sculpture Garden taken by and submitted to OCT’s Photo Contest by local photographer Paul Kitchen. The guide is designed to capture the attention of our target audience including young families, couples, and outdoor recreation enthusiasts with impressive visuals and useful information. There are special sections for a variety of interest groups including families, foodies, art lovers, heritage travelers, golfers, fisherman, winter adventurers, sports buffs and more. The guide offers something for everyone with contemporary and historic facts presented throughout that call attention to the area’s unique and interesting features.


New to the guide this year is the Utica Observer-Dispatch Best of the Best Community Choice Award designations. Twenty-three (23) golden 1st icons appear throughout the guide next to the listings of attractions, events, and restaurants chosen as the top local picks in a variety of categories. Five feature articles contributed by local experts bring fresh content to the Outdoor Adventure, Fishing, Winter Adventure, Food & Nightlife, and Relocation sections.

The annual publication will be distributed throughout the Northeast and is available free at the Oneida County Welcome Centers located at Exit 31 and in Union Station, Utica, as well as various locations throughout the County.
