Add To CalendarMarch 22nd 2013 will be this year's first Wine & Beer train run by the Adirondack Scenic Railroad out of Utica, NY. Hosmer Winery and Ommegang Brewery will be available for taste testing as well as purchase on board the train.
The train will board at Utica’s Union Station with a tasting taking place on board from 6pm to 6:30pm. At 630pm the train will depart for Remsen Depot. All passengers are welcome to enjoy the music, finger foods and drinks in the bar car. There is also the option of riding first class where you can enjoy full service in the table car.
Once the train arrives at Remsen Depot (~7:15pm) passengers are welcome to get off and check out the Depot or just enjoy some fresh air. A few riders that are brave enough will try to pronounce the Depot’s Welsh name (which is also the world’s longest rail station name): Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwillllantysiliogogogoc. The train then departs 7:45-8:00pm for its return trip to Utica, arrival time 8:30-8:45pm.
