Tourism Marketing Grant Assistance Program

Grant Information

Oneida County Tourism (OCT) administers a competitive grant program that provides financial and technical assistance for the promotion of tourism activities offered by eligible nonprofit organizations and for profit businesses in Oneida County, New York.  Grants are awarded for projects occurring between April 1 and March 31 each year.

The Tourism Marketing Grant Assistance Program (MGAP) is fully funded by an allocation of the Oneida County Occupancy Tax as dedicated by Oneida County Tourism.  The grant program exists to expand the marketing and promotional efforts of tourism attractions, activities and events.  Goals of the OCT MGAP program are to:

  1. Increase overnight stays in Oneida County lodging facilities
  2. Promote a positive image and increase awareness of Oneida County’s attractions and events
  3. Expand the advertising reach of tourism businesses and organizations

Eligible grant activities include ad placements, website development, brochures, direct mail, travel show attendance, and more.  Download the Grant Guidelines for complete details.

  • No grant match required
  • Minimum grant request is $1,000.00
  • Maximum grant request is $7,500.00
  • Application Deadline:  March 30, 2012
  • Grant Awards:  June TBA, 2012
  • All applicants must attend a MGAP Application Seminar – dates, time and locations listed in the Grant Guidelines
